WHAT IS IT?: The Utah County Housing First Fund (UCHFF) is a community-based flex fund that assists homeless individuals and families to enter stable housing.

WHY IS THERE TRAINING?: This quick course reviews the process of the fund so you can apply. Because the fund is limited, we need you to understand its correct use. The entire training should only take 15-20 minutes.  Review course material in each tab in the menu on your left in order to study for the test posted in the "tasks" tab. I have put the important information for you in bold to make things go even faster. Once you have completed the test, I will review it and send you a virtual "certificate" that gives you clearance to apply for the fund. You can take the test as many times as you need to get 100%.

RULES: Each agency must have a case management supervisor complete the course in order to apply. The application will be live on October 6, 2015 along with this training.

THE PROBLEM: Utah County has the youngest median age in the entire US and has a very well-educated community. This makes the renter’s market very competitive. This resource is meant to support a Housing First approach for clients, and provides them financial leverage as they strive to lease a unit with the help of case managers. This fund will fill in gaps when other resources do not adequately help the client obtain housing.
