Overview

Airside facilities at Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport (TNT) support large and small aircraft with precise landings at a safe facility. This airport's primary purpose is to provide a precision-instrument landing and training facility in South Florida for commercial pilots, private training, and a small number of military touch-and-goes. Commercial jet aircraft are the largest class of airplanes that use the airport on a regular basis.

When the Service Desk is notified of a TNT Airport internet service problem and opens ticket. The Service Desk contacts the service provider, E & E Enterprise at 757-325-2940, to verify that the satellite signal is active. If the satellite company determines that the equipment is up, the Service Desk contacts and assigns ticket to Network/Firewall to determine if the Aruba is operational.

  • Required information needed for E & E Enterprise:
    • MAC address on the modem
    • E&E Site ID: (Ex: ENE00307)

If the equipment is not working, the Service Desk to contact Airside:

  • If Nelson Mejias is not available, contact Norman Hegedus, Section Chief, at 305-342-0559 (cell). Norman Hegedus contacts the service provider, E & E Enterprise Global at 757-325-2940.
    • If the problem is with the computer, the PC Group is notified and assigned the ticket to troubleshoot the problem.
    • If the problem is with the time clock the Technical Services Shop is notified and assigned the ticket.
    • Issues related with CCTV cameras should be sent to the Work Order Center to be assigned to the Video Shop.
    • Issues related with Fire Alarm Devices should be sent to the WOC Center to be assigned to the Fire Techs Shop.
    • If the problem is with the systems (software, servers, workstations and peripherals) covered by the Building Management contracts (Building Control, Fire Alarm, Security systems), notify Miguel Brito and assign ticket to Airport Building Systems Manager, at 305-876-0597.

The key to access the equipment is locked in the video equipment box.
