In this course, we will improve oral communication competency through both informal discussions and formal academic-style presentations. Discussions and presentations will mainly focus on describing health-related topics using easy, non-technical terminology.

Comments
Students are expected to prepare for discussions outside of class time. It is recommended to have regular access to some form of portable electronic device (e.g., tablet, notebook PC) for use in- and outside the class.

Most authentic material will come from two websites: Science Daily (www.sciencedaily.com) and/or TED Talks (www.ted.com). There is no textbook.
