This course is for any teacher who has been assigned to teach a subject area that is a non-tested area within Galileo. The purpose of this course is to outline the expectations for utilizing student data to drive instruction and how this is incorporated into the teacher evaluation process.

With the move towards all teachers being measured for their effectiveness in the classroom, whether they teach a core subject or an elective course, Group B teachers must develop new ways to evaluate their students on their content standards. With a teacher’s evaluation based on student growth and achievement, the new paradigm is that all students will indeed master the content standards for the entire year or course. The SLO process allows teachers to utilize student data to improve student performance and ensure content mastery.

2. How do I create Student Learning Outcomes?


It is highly recommended that you take notes to prepare for the quiz at the completion of the course. Participants who score less than 80% will be asked to re-take the course.
