The modules in this course helps to understand the Multiple Intelligence Approach to Teaching. The students will comprehend the importance of an innovative teaching-learning strategy in the classroom. The Multiple Intelligence theory suggests that no one set of teaching strategies will work best for all students at all times. All children have different tendencies in the eight intelligence, so any particular strategy is likely to be successful with several students, and yet, not for others. Because of these individual differences among students, teachers are best advised to use a broad range of teaching strategies with their students. As long as instructors shift their intelligence emphasis from presentation to presentation, there will always be a time during the period or day when a student has his or her own highly developed intelligence(s) actively involved in learning.
This course will take you through the eight Multiple Intelligence propounded by Prof. Howard Gardner. It will help the students to identify their dominant intelligence. The student can read and understand the different intelligence and the various strategies that they could use in their classroom practices.
This course will be beneficial to teachers, student- teachers, teacher educators in India and other parts of the world. This course covers the Eight Multiple Intelligence: Verbal, Logical, Visual, Bodily, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Musical, Naturalistic .

About the Instructor
Dr. Reni Francis is an Assistant Professor at Pillai College of Education and Research, Mumbai. She has a varied experience of more than 16 years in facilitating learning with school students, teachers and teacher educators in India and Kuwait. She was previously working with Jabriya Indian School, Kuwait. She has been awarded the Doctoral degree in Arts – Education. Dr. Reni Francis has authored 2 Teacher Handbooks known as “Blooming with Multiple Intelligences” and “Constructing Creative Minds” and a series of Teacher resources for Chetana Publication - Nine Hats, for the subject English, Grade 1 to 8. She has recently authored the book Redesigning Learning Horizons through Multiple Intelligence Approach, Lambert Academic Publishing, U.K. Dr. Reni has successfully completed several professional courses from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has also authored a chapter on the Indian education system for a Book of Knowledge for Politicians published by the D.Y. Patil group. Dr. Reni Francis is the Editor of an International Journal of Education TRANSACADEMIA – ISSN: 2319-3492 and is on the Editorial board for other research journal. She is a Mentor at Youngin' International Pre-School & Child Care and School Leaders Network™, a Professional Network of School Leaders in the Country.
