Overview

Module One of the MLD is getting your foundations set for the two years of this course.

We will be starting by looking at your learning styles and encouraging you as a lifelong learner, we will be setting goals and making vision statements, looking at mentoring relationships in your life, and it will wrap up by helping you get your finances established.

Along the way, please give us lots of feedback of improvements you suggest so we can make changes now, and for when we run the course in the future.  You as the learner are an integral part of shaping this course to be an effective, life-giving, leadership growing course. We suggest doing this by meeting with us one-on-one or emailing your course leader and to know your feedback is welcome and to take ownership of that invitation.

It's going to be en exciting three months of starting to journey together to become life-long learners and better leaders.

We are very glad you are part of this course!

    1. WORKBOOK
      1. In the beginning of the workbook, there is a “Personal Development Plan”. This worksheet will be incorporated into every module, and it serves to help you think through goals and to work through them as you do this course. Please work through this worksheet within the first week so you know what you are working towards.
      2. The other worksheets throughout the workbook are to be done throughout the quarter as content is delivered.  Please bring your workbook to teaching times, one-on-ones, and small group processing times. It must be completed by the end of the term but the best usage of the workbook will be to use it as a processing tool as content is being delivered.

      2. One on Ones will happen within your mentoring relationship which we will help you establish. The goal is bi-weekly.
    4. RECOMMENDED READING

    5. DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
      1. Every week there will be a discussion question posted in the online forum.  It will be based off the relevant content that is coming up in the classroom.  As a student you are able to suggest a question for the weekly online discussion for the class to work through together.
      2. You will respond to the question yourself and respond to at least one other classmate's response.
