This class is self-paced and can be enjoyed in your own home and on your own time. It is designed to provide you with a foundational knowledge of essential oils and is not based on any particular brand of essential oils.
There are a variety of brands and grades of essential oils available on the market. Upon complegion of this course you will be prepared the means to research out which ones are the best for you and your family. The purity and efficacy of essential oils is not regulated by any one governmental body or anyone in the industry, so it is important that you understand what to look for when purchasing oils. Answering the question of... "are essential oils safe?" is truly dependent upon which essential oils you are considering. How oils are sourced, distilled or extracted, tested and distributed determines their effectiveness and if they are safe to use.
This class will prepare you to perform additional research on determining which oils are safe for you and your family. If you are interested in learning more about the essential oils that I have chosen for myself and my family, additional classes are available to you to learn how to use these particular oils in a safe and effective manner and how to get them into your home at the best price possible.
** The "What are Essential Oils" class is primarily on the book "Essential Oils for Beginners, The Guide to Get Started with Essential Oils and Aromatherapy" by Althea Press. Some excerpts are provided here verbatim - without quotations - as I did not want to detract from what you are learning. Please know this book is available through Amazon and is suggested to you for further reading.
