Learning Objectives:

By the end of training each individual will be able to...

  • Understand all Genesee valley policies and procedures
  • Appropriately  initiate the EAP and codes
  • Understand summer camp structure
  • Navigate all of Genesee Valley property
  • Complete three days shadowing a returning counselor
  • Pass a written exam with a score of at least 80%
  • Successfully perform all high aerial course rescues
  • Successfully set-up and facilitate all climbing elements involving belaying
  • Successfully facilitate all aspects of a zip line
  • Feel comfortable and connected to management and fellow staff members
