At the end of this module  students will be able to demonstrate understanding of the following grammatical structures by using them in an appropriate context on a grammar exam: 

 1.To help them accurately use past simple and past continuous  tenses in reporting events.

 2. To introduce them to past continuous  tense, form meaning and use, while participating in interactive activities

 3. Learners will be able to identify the difference between past simple and past continuous  tenses in authentic texts.

 4. Learners will be able to use the simple and  past continuous  tense to describe an event that was happening in the past, but was interrupted by another event. 

5. Learners will be able to use past simple and past continuous tenses with optimal precision to describe what they were doing at a specific point in time in the past.
