Course reviews will be shown here

The February continuing education sessions concern basic pharmacology and anaphylaxis. This is appropriate as we prepare to add one drug to our formulary and change the way we administer another. Our annual scope of practice revealed several deficiencies in our knowledge of the administration of Epinephrine corporately, specifically with some protocol deviations. As a result, we are going to spend a little extra time covering the administration of Epinephrine and other drugs we can administer.

In order to ensure thorough knowledge of basic pharmacology we will utilize a hybrid method of information dissemination and testing.  This month’s continuing education will require a pretest, discussion, and posttest which will all be administered via this medium. Furthermore we will be prepared for the initial GEMS training concerning Naloxone (Narcan) which should happen rather soon.
