From the beginning of civilization, men had this fundamental question haunting their minds about our origin. 'Where did we come from?'- the first question that sparked the interest in men to explore creation. One of the first answers were those 'twinkling' lights observed in the night sky. Today we call them stars and much work have been done on them but to those of our predecessors who did not have this knowledge, it was a sign of divinity. The basic questions of what were observed in the heavens have today taken the form of what we call Astronomy.
At the present, astronomy has advanced quite far with much developed ideas and methods of observation of the heavens. Many of the older presumptions have been proved wrong and many new questions have been created yet to be answered.
In Bangladesh, though many people are enthusiastic about the subject, there are not many significant practices of the discipline. In fact the people cannot be blamed since the much needed spark from secondary or high school towards the subject is not present. But that certainly does not mean that the interests of men here to know creation well has faded. Thus to be able to create such a successful spark we have launched Bangladesh's first online based astronomy and astrophysics courses which we have named Project Aura.
