Defence Against the Dark Arts: 1st Year

Annie Chase

Professor Chase

Hello! My name's Annabeth Chase. I am a professor at Hogwarts and I teach Defence Against the Dark Arts. I was at Hogwarts myself when I was younger. The things it taught me saved my life in many ways. The professors inspired me to do good for the world. During my time at Hogwarts, my heart was set on being an Auror. I worked very hard and got Outstanding on all of my OWLs and NEWTs but I was especially excelled in DADA. After I left Hogwarts, I became an Auror. For a year, I was an Auror protecting the wizarding world from 'Death Eaters' (term for followers of Voldemort). However, when Harry Potter (peace and blessings be upon him) defeated 'he-who-is-now-named', Aurors were not needed as much. Annoriel Woods contacted me with a job offering. I accepted. Now I could inspire (hopefully) new pupils as my Professors did to me. I am very determined and work hard. I work well in a team and am a Proud head of Zapetto I hope you enjoy Hogwarts and DADA as much as I did. Annabeth

This lesson is amazing! I love DADA and Professor Chase has done a great job in this lesson. The reason I have given this lesson 4 stars, instead of 5, is that I noticed a few grammatical errors. Besides that, I'm very much looking forward to future lessons!

Welcome to DADA! This is your first year at Hogwarts and I hope it's a good one. You can make new friends, eat in the Great Hall, play Quidditch (my favourite sport) and a lot more. Sadly, lessons are included in the Hogwarts package. That's why us Professors  are here! To make the slightly less entertaining area even better than the rest! So brace yourselves, we're about to apparate to a world of adventure!

How you will be graded

25%  -Grammar and Punctuation. (If you have a LD or English isn't your first language then please contact me or put it at the top of your homework)

10%  -The word requirement (if any) is met

5%  -Effort. This doesn't mean you have to go all out with diagrams and a 8-page essay. If I can see that you have put work into this and not written down a sentence or two in super quick time, then that is effort.

60%  -The quality of your work

1. Be polite to me. I have spent a lot of my free time preparing these lessons. I would appreciate if you could appreciate.

2. Be polite to your peers. Your classmates are not below you in any way. Respect them please.

3. Even though DADA is quite a violent  aggressive  fun lesson and includes a bigger danger than some, there will be no purposeful harming to other people.

4. Have fun!!

Never be afraid to ask me a question! I will happily answer it to the best of my abilities! Any questions, just message me :)
