My secret to cooking good food is my Family. It's proven that my wife has good taste (in me :) and my kids eat what I cook. I started cooking at a very young age. My mother has a degree in Nutrition and my father was a cook on board international shipping lines. In the Philippines, I am a Tech-Voc Skills Trainer. Food for me is about life's transformations. It is the art in the mandala; as physical as natural science or as spiritual as transubstantiation. Food connects to our mind, body, and soul... to life in and all around us... changing, transforming, evolving into a life alive. Filipino Food must connect to the Filipino Soul, It must find its identity and express itself as Filipino Art It must become alive and strive as Filipino Culture.

Overview

Learn how to cook Filipino dishes.

I know that the Philippines has been blessed by nature

when it comes to the abundance or variety of food.
Filipinos live in a land erupting with fire blood of Earth;
nourished by water from rains and river veins
like a fetus enveloped by fluids to aid in growth;
the heavens blows its life breath from all corners;
the land is alive and sustains life, takes life, gives life.

Filipino Food must connect to the Filipino Soul,
It must find its identity and express itself as Filipino Art
It must become alive and strive as Filipino Culture.
