Subject Area: Community Development and Health Education

Affiliate Institution: National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)

This is a uniquely structured community health education course that is centred on Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and to be undertaken entirely online. It is designed for young graduates that desire to volunteer in Community Ebola Education Programme (CEEP) as their Community Development Project during their compulsory National Youth Service year. The course aims to prepare volunteers for their community engagement services as community health and Ebola educators. 

Start date: 2017 summer, particularly the second week (Monday) after the Batch B NYSC orientation camp programme (exact date will be announced when the NYSC headquarters fixes orientation camp opening date)

Course Duration: 10 weeks
Course Mode: distance learning (online)
Course Fees: N0.00

Certification: Upon the completion of all requirement of the course, participants shall be awarded a certificate of completion. However, the primary purpose of the course is to train NYSC volunteers for the CEEP programme. To be eligible to participate in the CEEP programme, participants are expected to earn a minimum of 60 marks in the course
