UPH FLA 91202A-E Christian Worldview 2 : Anthropology, Hamartiology, and Christology
Even Semester 2016
Dr. Yongbom Lee (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Mondays and Wednesdays 7:15–9:15 am
The course consists of the Christian worldview of human being and its redemptive aspect. A study of the Christian worldview of human being is the study of Biblical anthropology (the doctrine of man) and hematology (the doctrine of sin): his origin, nature, purposes, and corruption because of sin. Emphasis will be given on human being as a psycho-somatic unity created in the image of God; his state of integrity; the covenant of work; the cultural mandate and its implications for science and technology; the fall and its pervasive effects on human life; and the epistemological implications of the fall. A study of the Christian worldview in terms of its redemptive aspect will focus on Jesus Christ as the author, sustainer, and restorer of creation. Emphasis will be given on the incarnation of Christ, His divine-human nature, His messiahship as King, Priest, and Prophet, the meaning of his redemptive work, and the significance of all these for developing a Christ-centered worldview.
