The Psychology & Spiritual Counseling I and II Courses will give students a deeper look at how to identify individuals in the 21st Century with social, spiritual, physical, medical and mental issues that may cause them to behave or act in a certain way. The course will give JJBIHL students the opportunity to research and have intensive inquiry on human behavior in the church and the world today. Students will investigate case studies on counseling and ministering to the mental ill, the medicated and non-medicated dysfunctional individuals every Christian Counselor or Christian is faced with today. Students will gain a broader knowledge of the controversial counseling issues today, which states, does the Christian Church have a right to counsel individuals with personal, social, and mental health issues, etc., along with many others. Should the Church, although they have trained spiritual professionals, should leave all counseling too secular counselors and medicating to solve many people problems today in our society and world.
Other courses will assist students in understanding various abuse that have befallen many in the world of humanity today. The courses will allow students to examine and take a closer look at how to assist themselves and others with spiritual methods and solutions through the Word of God, on how to cope with any abuse in their lives and how to go forward with recovery. The courses will allow students to become better counselors and ministers, whether layman or pastor to understand why people act a certain way and how we should respond to them.
