You've successfully completed the Discover HTML and CSS In Less Than Two Hours course and you are eager to tackle serious web development ?

In this course, that is the second of the Less Than Two Hours series, you'll see how to build a real HTML page and its linked CSS file in your text editor. You'll also discover new HTML elements, such as lists and tables, and convenient CSS selectors allowing notably to refers to a specific element of the HTML page. 

This is the next step towards the creation of a complete website.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this course you should be able to:

  • use a simple text editor,
  • build up a complete HTML page and links it to a stylesheet,
  • write an external CSS file.

 

Resource requirements

You just need a computer, a text editor, an Internet access and an up-to-date browser.

 

Assessment

Two quizzes:

  • A theoretical one to make sure you understood the concepts (passing grade: 80%),
  • A practical one that consists in spotting the mistakes in excerpts of HTML and CSS code (passing grade: 80%).
