This course will fulfill your annual requirement for Cultural Competency and Diversity training as a Highfields employee. This course should only be utilized for new hires and other approved instances when in-person training is not readily available. Please note that this course was originally designed to be highly interactive with significant opportunities for discussion with others. With that in mind, please spend time considering all of the questions that are posed to help you think critically about this material and how it fits with the work that you do for Highfields.

Learning Objectives for this Module

  • Understand and differentiate between concepts of cultural competency, cultural humility, and diversity-informed apprach
  • Increase self awareness and reflection on your own cultural backgrounds, privileges, assumptions, and worldview
  • Identify ways in which diversity awareness and cultural humility can inform engagement, assessment, and intervention with clients
